Only asking because as a true fan of the sport I would like it to grow and succeed instead of going down the drain.

Some people here need to grow up a little and understand that we are the only ones who benefit from all of them doing well.

DAZN willing to give Wilder $100 mil+ and you same dorks say DAZN needs to step up while they at least gave Haymon the opportunity with Ruiz Jr. If DAZN were insecure like Shwotime or ESPN they would’ve said no to Haymon even with Ruiz and chose another alternative instead of Ruiz Jr.

In fact DAZN wanted Ortiz didn’t they?

      Who blocked all that?

      “DAZN needs to step...”. Lol

The problem with fans is to many cowards here. Been telling everyone go to DAZN for the bag. Only dumb fans seem to be the purists for ESPN or PBC

      WAR DAZN
But Dazn wants guys to only fight on their platform. They want options to insure when their guy loses they then ‘own’ the other guy.

Wilder-AJ can be made, could have been made, on a one-off where the winner controlled the second fight. Where the splits were known (which was what Wilder asked on the $100M offer, but they wouldn’t reveal AJ so no fair disclosure on the purse split).

Remember when Eddie offered Wilder $12M to fight AJ and Wilder’s side said OK, but only if the purses are reversed in the rematch if I win? Remember when Eddie offered Wilder $4M to fight Whyte and Wilder said OK, as long as we unify with AJ if I win (and Eddie said, famously, “No, no, it doesn’t work that way”) while at the same time saying the point was to build Wilder up in the UK for an AJ match?

The ways these kind of things can work is if your boys at Dazn say “OK, we want to make this fight. We’ll work it out so both sides share in the promotion (which is how Wilder-Fury has worked) and a fair solution on the platform (say Showtime PPV in the USA and Sky in the UK) and Eddie/Dazn don’t control the rematch if Wilder wins.”

They’ve never offered to work out that kind of fair solution — they want the other guys to let their fighters sign with Dazn so Dazn controls everything, yet they won’t free their guys to fight on ESPN or Showtime.

That’s why we get a load of A-side vs. D-side fights on Dazn. That last GGG fight is the kind HBO used to turn down. We get better fights on free TV here.

The Dazn model was advertised as ‘PPV-quality fights without the PPV price,’ but that’s not what they’re actually offering.

Stopped reading here. If DAZN gives you a premium salary for a certain amount of fights, let’s say 3...umm... isn’t it common sense you will ONLY fight on their platform?

If Floyd agreed with Showtime for 6 fights... one would assume he was only fighting there..

Are you mistaken with Top Rank type of contracts? Was Wilder going to retire after fulfilling his 3 fight deal with DAZN?

Definitely, that GGG vs Rolls was super lame, no offense to GGG. We definitely get way better fights on free TV

Fury has a deal with ESPN+, which has a helluva a lot more subscribers than Dazn USA. Yet they’re willing to work out a fight with Wilder and share the platform. Top Rank has worked with other promoters on big fights dating back to the Don King vs. Arum years, like 4 decades or more.

Dazn isn’t willing to play ball. So we get AJ vs. Fat Boy instead of meaningful fights with Wilder and Fury — the fights people want.

Wilder shouldn’t have to behold himself to Dazn for a unification. They never tried to make a unification stipulation that AJ had to fight on Showtime or whatever if he won.

Lol. Again stoppped reading here. What does an offer for Wilder in the amount of $100 million that includes AJ for Undisputed have to do with Fury in ESPN+ or subscriptions?

What kind of a premise is that? Wilder is clearly brainwashed by Haymon to have not accepted the DAZN offer. Didn’t Wilder insinuate he was going to take a temp leave when news came out for DAZNs offer? Then Showtime gave Wilder options to stop the temptation because Wilder isn’t signed? Then Espinoza gave a speech about “loyalty?”

              Lol. I mean...

I think that if one promoter/channel/app ruled, then we'd get better quality instead of cheaper quantity imo.

I want all 3 to succeed, but in order for ALL them to do that is to CONSTANTLY make good fights.

Boxing has a OLDER Demographic but clearly it is a Immature Older Demographic. Kids don't watch boxing so I know these are not Kids trolling on a forum. These are Grown Mentally Unstable Men trolling and picking sides and acting like a Groupie over one while bashing the rest every chance they get. Not just on this forum but you have so called "Professional Boxing Writers/Reporters" who also behave like this on social media daily and it is a disgrace

This DIVIDE in boxing is also why that sport has fallen behind sports like Hockey, Tennis and even Women Softball Playoffs which does better ratings than most Boxing Events on TV

It will continue to decline at this rate and ultimately ESPN, FOX, DAZN just like HBO will figure that boxing is just a waste of time and money and is just not worth the investment. If that Happens, it will be a damn Boxing PPV every Weekend
