I was thinking the opposite recently. Players I thought were ordinary compared to our current team would be world beaters.

A 90 year old Willian would still start for us.

Mikel is possibly better than Enzo and Caicedo.

Malouda and Kalou are better than Mudryk and Madueke.

Wayne Bridge is 10x better than Cucurella.

I rated him but still worth saying a 30 year old Gary Cahill is better than all the centre halves currently at the club including old man Silva.

An ever present Fereira is better than a broken Reece James and Malo Gusto.

lol, I don't disagree with anything stated Sparked. I've been of that same mind about the constantly injured players. Being an A+ talent that is never available is worse than being a consistent C that will play every single game.

But I will say, Noni is only 21.

I don't see anything special about him but he does play like a dutch winger (see: Gakpo). Then again, I don't see anything special about anyone at this club right now to be honest.

Palmer, Colwill, and Conor are about the only players that show any long term value.

Palmer being the only actually good player and I admit, I wondered if it was because he was doing a Willian but truth be told, Palmer is the only one with any sort of technique and footballing brain.

I don't think you can be a successful manager/team in the prem now if you play a negative style of football. There is no recent example I can think of. The Arse kinda play a bit defensive this year, maybe? But that's more because they're pretty tame upfront so have no choice to be resolute.
