Then sending the floppy disk. I think he wanted to get caught. He got tired of the cat and mouse game or felt guilty about his actions, although serial killers rarely feel guilt.

I don’t think he was ignored. He was featured on Americas Most Wanted plenty of times. But maybe he was ignored by the general public in a way.

Maybe he wanted to be known as one of the greats so to speak. But in terms of notoriety, I think he falls short of the Bundys, Gacys, and Dahmers in terms of the worst of the worst and the most feared of serial killers.
