Idk. Maybe it's genetic. I've a few relatives who're like me.

I suffer from insomnia very often. It all started after I started working two jobs

I ended up falling asleep at work yesterday because I had so much trouble falling asleep the night before. Who else gets this and what do you do for it? I don't want to be on any drugs for it but I'm wondering about anybody's personal experience with any treatment of it or whatever.
Oh brother that is a tough one... I have bad insomnia, have had for years. Did you check all the boxes? Apnea, pain, coffee/nicotine... Careful with drugs because they lose their effect fast. You can try benadryl once in a while. Melatonin works if used very infrequently. You can vary benadryl and melatonin, alternate their use, but i would not do diazepenes.

A lot of it can be worry, also here are some important things we don't generally think of: If you sleep near any electric outlets, make sure nothing is juicing from them at night... the electricity can affect sleep, ditto if you are near a transforming unit on a power line. Milk heated sometimes can help.

My own problem is pain. It keeps me up...

What changed for you this year? that may be a clue.

What works for me is a proper daily schedule (I go to bed and wake up at the same time every day), sports, and reading before sleep. Also, I avoid using devices at least an hour before going to bed.
              Avoid caffeine too
