Last year we probably had too many fights, this year maybe had too few or too harsh/specific criteria.

These odds are heinous though and kind of spitting in the face of the term pickem... It really is impossible to please everyone though.

Also shouldn't Campa have an innate 3x multi since the odds are just a smidge lower than Espadas?
YMR, I’ll check on that when I get home buddy

I'm not sure BigPoppa is gonna be offering up more prizes so there might not be any material reward but I guess bragging rights gotta count for something.
So are you scrapping this weeks picks?

I've only just seen this weeks fights but they don't make much sense because they are too one sided - even more so than last week's fight. I say we give this week's fights a miss - for 2 reasons, 1/ they are too one sided and 2/ Koba is in the middle of his holidays and is busy searching for new camping sites that Ms K will approve. Having said that - IF we go ahead I'd do one fight - keep the Lopez fight.

On last weeks fights - nobody even suggested it but Cobbs vs Hooker was a good fight on paper and better in reality so we missed one there plus folks would have likely heard of both fighters whereas I had not heard of McKinnon who was under the radar (not that that is a reason not to have a fight with nod to Opetaia) .

I suggest coming back with next weeks blockbuster and we can always call every picker 'to arms' with an name. I volunteer. The Hrgoviv fight is a good one - a sort the wheat from chaff fight but I'd avoid the Mundo fight as being not competitive enough.

But instead we also could have one of these as a third fight >>>>> Navarette vs Baez (Title fight) OR Santillan 29-0 vs Avila 19-0 OR Broner vs Figueroa (not good to watch maybe but intriguing as a pick) OR Puello vs Ahkmedov (wba title vacated by Josh Taylor)

Wish you all well for the year. Pick Em 50&51 are you, if they get stickied, just keep bumping and it’ll happen.

          Jon,

I'm sorry to see you go and wish you weren't. I also feel uneasy that my enthusiastic suggestions were possibly the tipping point for you to reach your decision. But over and above that you have a much bigger battle on your hands with your illness and you don't need any distractions or hassle right now. It is impossible to please everyone so you are completely right on that score but you've made a great contribution to my enjoyment these last 7+ months and many other players in past years and this current year - so on behalf of all this years Pickem contestants I want to say thanks again and most importantly, get well soon! Steve

I think so yeah, if there was a title on the line or Campa had beaten - or even fought - a single meaningful opponent I might see a case for including Teo vs Campa but he ain't and the odds are insanely wide.

I was looking for a bit more input but I think it's time to make a call rather than leave folk in suspense and this time I reckon we pass. Apologies for letting you waste your time man, but my intent was to just leave you to it as much as possible and it was your call but obviously the situations changed with you stepping back.

Looking at the top 3 fights from Jeddah next week though. You could argue there's no titles for the two top undercard fights there either but at least they're all top 20ish fighters and the odds ain't quite as prohibitive.

              Steve,
Its all good. My contributions go back about 6 years man. Anyhow, I would prefer that things are discussed in November, instead of June and July. Another thing that has bothered me is some of the newbies are so hung hoe to make these “changes”, then don’t stick around for 6 months. Change is good for everyone and everything, but there is a time to do it , and a time not to do it Imho. But who am I right.
Take care buddy. Good luck with the leaderboard.
Don’t say you are sorry, always apologize bc you are not a sorry person from what I see. Just a tid bit to live by.
You give the next person an opening when you say you are sorry…apology accepted, not that it was needed.

Scrap it! Wasn’t a waste of my time. I just didn’t wanna hear these posters crying about no fights.
