I think so yeah, if there was a title on the line or Campa had beaten - or even fought - a single meaningful opponent I might see a case for including Teo vs Campa but he ain't and the odds are insanely wide.

I was looking for a bit more input but I think it's time to make a call rather than leave folk in suspense and this time I reckon we pass. Apologies for letting you waste your time man, but my intent was to just leave you to it as much as possible and it was your call but obviously the situations changed with you stepping back.

Looking at the top 3 fights from Jeddah next week though. You could argue there's no titles for the two top undercard fights there either but at least they're all top 20ish fighters and the odds ain't quite as prohibitive.

So these fights are scrapped?

Thank you Siablo. I’ll still be around if Koba doesn’t give me the boot! Lol. I was just getting frustrated with all these mid year ideas and wanted changes. You’ve been here too. I just can’t fathom why these ideas wouldn’t be shared closer to the end of the year. Also people thinking that if you pick a correct fighter but wrong detail, that you shouldn’t get the points, really rubbed me wrong! You should get the bulk of your points on the winning fighter. It’s just so damn redundant. Years of this crap man. You’re not blind, dead or dumb, you know where I’m coming from

Anyone can pick the correct fighter. It's not that hard. 50/50 chance really, maybe even 70/30 or 80/20 with some of these one-sided matchups.

But also picking the manner of victory AND the detail? On a consistent basis? Now THAT takes skill. And should be more richly rewarded in terms of points in my opinion.

The Hrgoviv fight is a good one - a sort the wheat from chaff fight but I'd avoid the Mundo fight as being not competitive enough.

But instead we also could have one of these as a third fight >>>>> Navarette vs Baez (Title fight) OR Santillan 29-0 vs Avila 19-0 OR Broner vs Figueroa (not good to watch maybe but intriguing as a pick) OR Puello vs Ahkmedov (wba title vacated by Josh Taylor)

All good suggestions.

The Badou Jack fight might be a good replacement tor Callum Smith too. Badou is ranked #9 and Richard Rivera is a semi-hot prospect in the New England area, ranked 20ish as seems to be an acceptable criteria.

Oh ****... never got round to actually officially cancelling this thread and now it's stickied... my bad. In theory could still run it I guess but given the outsize odds and possible confusion over the mixed messages reckon I gotta pull it anyway.

Okay gentlemen this weeks thread is officially cancelled. BIGPOPPAPUMP if I could kindly ask for it to be unstickied and either removed or allowed to slide away would be greatly appreciated.

What day are we on? Saturday? OK reckon I'm gotta be off again probably Monday eve or Tuesday morning (Northern Green Gathering this time, although it's in fkn Lincolnshire which ain't remotely Northern to my mind, bloody hippies!) but I'm gonna be busy next coupla days so I'll look to getting next weeks thread up at some point today.

Was originally thinking about the top 3 from Jeddah but I just noticed we also got Gutierrez vs Garcia (#2 and #5 at 130Lbs per TBRB respectively) from Florida for the WBA world - yes I know it ain't a real title but the rankings of the fighters gets it in - got fairly tight odds too with Roger as a +200 'dog. The we also got the WBO full title at Feather on the line between Navarrette and Baez from San Diego and although the odds are pretty wide (Baez is currently hovering around +600) they're no worse than the Jeddah undercard fights and the title gets priority.

Puello vs Akhmedov should be a good one too - close odds (Botizhon's hovering about a -200 fave) and the WBA 'world' on the line - and of course Akhmedovs sole loss was a robbery so he should be ranked far higher than he actually is, and I also guess if you've got nostalgia for the 'Teens Broner vs Figueroa.. although the days of relevence of both are probably in the past I guess the winner is likely to get another tilt at a title or at least a semi-meaningful fight next... Broner's coming in about -220 FWIW

Also gonna cut and paste this thread minus the BigPoppa shout out onto the masterthread for the record and so we got somewhere to comment on the schedule for the 20th if this thread gets zapped.
