He is THE champion has beaten all of the top contenders, beat the lineal champ in another division and is defending against the best contender that he hasn't fought yet. This is how the sport of boxing is supposed to work. 1 champion defending against the highest ranked contenders.

GGG, Kovalev and Stevenson haven't come close to cleaning out their divisions.

Yet Ward gets criticized and people suck these other guys off so much its become a part of their daily nutritional diet.

Ward is the reigning king at 168. If you want to fight him, put in work and get ranked in that division so you can get your ass kicked on HBO.

Dude what the hell are you talking about? No one is saying Ward is ducking those 3.....


But what is being said is that these 3 fights will do nothing for Ward because they don't have a "resume." So far what I've gathered from this thread:


- Ward cleaned out 168, so there's no more possible fights that will ever increase his ever growing legacy, essentially its just smooth sailing til the end of his career and so long as he keeps his 0 he's an ATG

-Ward doesn't have to move up because he cleaned his division and people should come to him - Yet Floyd and Golovkin should move up

-There is absolutely nothing Ward can do to increase his P4P ranking because there is no opponent out there with a resume comparable to his or any other ATG resume

- Ward should just retire



Am i missing anything?
