Frampton's performance on Saturday was very impressive.

It was the best I've ever seen him fight. His movement was superb, he would give anyone a problem at 122 even Rigo.

Quigg first, then LSC, then Mares, then Rigo.

Not impressed, gassed after 6, ran all night

Saw Frampton for first time and although he is good he is not great. Has good speed but lacks stamina. Although I agree with the decision I had Kiko winning rounds 7-11 as did Box Nation commentators. Don't know why judges had Kiko winning only 1 round. Leo Santa Cruz will beat Framton as will Rigo. He is not at their caliber just yet. As long as he continues to fight in Europe he should be okay. Hit and ran all night reminded me of Mayweather. Was actually a boring fight. In a short ring LSC and Rigo would take him to school. Just another average European fighter. We all know what happens when they cross the pond.

So yes most of the fighters at 122 will have to travel TO FRAMPTON because he can Draw and he has the Crowd

The Downside to this is that Frampton will likely take winnable fights while waiting for Quiggs. I don't think he will fight Rigondeaux anytime soon and I don't think LSC will travel
Why would he have to wait for Quigg?

          No they didn't

What happened when Kell Brook crossed the pond a couple of weeks ago?

Oh and whose alt are you?

Frampton will be the A-side if Quigg is next because Carl is a World champion.

You have to follow Carl's career from the beginning to realize how well he has been built and the opposition he has fought for his learning fights. He isn't ducking anyone and I'm pretty sure he will fight Rigo within 2015.

Frampton is obviously going to take a winnable defense for his first one as usual in boxing, but unlike Quigg he won't make a career out of that. Frampton is also not "waiting" for Quigg as World Champions don't wait for contenders unless it is a superstar.

This is Rigondeaux's division, and these guys don't mind settling for number two.

I really do believe he is number 2 at the weight right now. His resume is far from deep but he does have a few solid wins. What interests me most is the fact that he shows growth and couples that with his natural abilities and power. The Frampton from this past weekend was a more refined, knowledgeable fighter than the one whom fought Kiko the first time. He had spots were he showed his combination punching ability, his power, he knows how to pressure, brawl or box. Something that most boxers can't do.

I really want to see LSC vs Frampton sometime soon. I think Frampton has a mando lined up with Avalos but he is seriously trying to behead Scott Quigg here soon, and once he settles that issue he will most likely return to hunting down Leo.

If LSC does step in the ring with Carl it would be interesting. Carl would have in advantage in the sense that he has seen Leo's style more than once, in fact Kiko might not throw as much as Leo, but he posses more power and better ability to stalk his opponents down. Leo on the other hand has very limited names on his resume that were boxers, much less boxers of the quality that Frampton would bring. Rough night for Leo, especially when the moving boxer has enough power on both hands to put you to sleep. I would have Frampton possibly stopping Leo late or cruise to a UD.

Yes mate, good analysis, I was there in person and pretty much agree, Kiko defo took 3-4 rounds. Carl did look knackered halfway through. Another worry is how vulnerable he looks on the inside, he obviously couldn't match Kiko for toughness but aside from that he has very little inside game. If he sticks to his boxing and keeps things at a distance he'll be fine but his lack of toughness will always be an issue. I hope there's something they can do to improve his stamina, I know they do no roadwork, all their running is done in the gym, maybe that's a problem.

Against Quigg, who fights great on the inside, may be found out again for toughness, still wins comfortably if he boxes doe. Same case with Long armed Leo, cept he might find it a little harder to control things at a distance, will likely be given trouble by Leo's shot selection and ability to mix it up.

I hope he fights Avalos next, a tough but very winnable fight I'd imagine, and spends the next couple of camps working on his deficiencies. Too easy to get carried away with what he does well. Looking forward to watching the fight back tonight.

All that said, he is a hell of a fighter: great accuracy, power, good footwork, boxing brain, heart. A hell of a guy outside of the ring too, he's got the makeup of a champion.

I'd just like to see him become a complete fighter; more skills on the inside, better stamina. I may be wrong but I think that was only the 2nd time he went the distance, the last time being against Raul Hirales in a fight he won comfortably, so maybe the psychology of only having been there once before had something to do with it. Also, the intensity at which they (him and Kiko) fought must've had some bearing.

Anyway, I'm proud to have an Irish world champion and I'm looking forward to the future, more great nights in Belfast =]
