Arthur Abraham is about out - agreed - but not necessarily to a Haymon fighter. True what you write about PBC outbidding but the way it looks (declining viewer ratings cross the board), PBC is set to implode in 2017 and I doubt Golovkin will make it up to SMW before 2017.

Just come right out with your agenda why don't you? You are not a true boxing fan but instead a fanboy. I bet you will watch the Golovkin fight even if only on YouTube a day or so later.

Ward even lied about making an offer by email six, seven months ago, which can easily be authenticated by ISP's on both sides.

It's clear that Ward doesn't know what he wants to do with his career. He can't make up his mind. And who are we kidding? It's not hard to spot a guy who really wants the fight. Ward doesn't even register on the radar.

People just need to leave the guy alone.

Yes, just fight. Anyone. Even a Paul Smith C- level fighter would be better than no-one. People go on about Golovkins lack of resume but at least he is fighting 3-4 times a year - and he is 2 years older than Ward. Golovkin has waaay more miles on the clock than Ward what with all the amateur fights. No excuse for Ward to be so inactive.

The Cotto-Canelo fight is on what date in November? Like 5 or 6 weeks away? Talk was of Ward fighting on undercard. I can't see that happening - Ward is too proud to be doing any undercard fights and if he would come in with a C level fighter then Cotto and Canelo management are quite rightly going to contest any notion of Ward vs C level fighter being a Joint billing fight.

So when exactly is Ward next fighting. His trainer says he needs 3 tune up fights - so with Wards recent level of activity looks like those next 2 fights might take up all of 2016. Must be frustrating being a Ward fan - all you got to fall back on right now is super six from 5 years ago.

I've enjoyed posting this morning - off to work now. There is a lot of negativity on these boards - lets not forget that positivity is where it's at. I leave you with the following:-

"Have you ever noticed that when you are happy the magnificent things in nature are more visible, the flowers smell better, the sound of a babbling brook is more distinct, food tastes delicious, a smile seems brighter, you have a spring in your step and even boxing boards and posters seem to be nice guys. On the other hand, when you are unhappy, you cannot see the beauty without or within, nothing feels right, you lose sight of the goodness in yourself, you cannot be kind to yourself, or other boxing posters, and you feel lonely, fearful and filled with self-doubt.

This is your life and it’s far too short to waste any moment of it making yourself less than what you are, or crossing swords with infantile posters. When you look for the good in others, remember to look for the good in yourself. Spend a little quiet time each day cultivating and nurturing your “self-image”.

              Why?

Because your “self-image” determines whether you feel 10 feet tall or ten inches small and it works like an emotional thermostat that controls your behavior to yourself and to others. Worrying and focusing on past failures not only distorts and limits your belief in your capabilities, it blocks you from your creative source of being present.

Here’s a great exercise to help build up your self-image so you can free yourself from your self-imposed limitations and discover what a delightful surprise it is to realize your own self-worth. I wish you my friend, the gift of relaxation so you can enjoy the kind of peace of mind that you never imagined possible…

Spend a few restful minutes a day relaxing and remembering as vividly as you can, your past successes and feel how you felt at that time. Do this for a few minutes a day and see how this helps you to be more happy, creative and present in your daily life.

Remember, this is your life and the only way to really live and enjoy it is in the present, and believe me, you can. "

That aside, it would still like to see this fight. I like Ward and its an intriguing matchup of styles. Question is, what weight will it happen at? GGG is a solid 160lb fighter while Ward is fighting in the LHW division as of late. Can Ward even make 168? If so, is it in GGG's best interest to make the move up with so many big fights to make at 160?

With the winner of Cotto/Canelo waiting in the wind, GGG isnt even focused on Ward right now as those 2 fighters bring much more to the table along with a fight against either fighter would be a ppv hit! Ward needs to get his mojo back and fight/beat some relevant fighters to boost his profile.
i agree ggg should be focused on the winner of cotto vs canelo, the way boxing goes he'd probably fight the winner and the loser, a loser in big fights always gets that benefit of the doubt and given an opportunity to redeem his loss, especially since those 2 guys have big money names, it's a bit unfortunate ward and ggg are in different weight classes but after ggg/his people made comments that he'd go up a division to fight some guys it's contradictory for them to not be willing to fight ward, it is what it is....i see what you did there "(ward) couldn't sell out a circus tent in his hometown" lol good one

It's one thing to not like Golovkin and root for Ward, it's a whole other thing to ignore the facts such as Ward is now a light heavyweight officially according to Dan Rafael, or the fact that Ward had his tune up and didn't immediately pounce on trying to make a fight with Golovkin as he's clearly muddled some of you into believing. Ward is using a name that gets him attention and nothing more...Ward is a tremendous boxer but that bullshhh about wanting to make a fight is as see through as glass.

Keep reaching kid ! You do boxing no great service with your rhetoric !
Check your dates. Look for the original comment made to Rafael and you will see that all this other crap happened well after that comment was made. As I said, it took on a life of it's own once the media and the Wardtards jumped all over it. Very similar to what happened when GGG answered a question as to whether he would like to fight Mayweather. The next day all the headlines were screaming... "GOLOVKIN CALLS OUT MAYWEATHER" when he did nothing of the sort, he simply answered a question.

****, people are ****** around here. I need to take a break because I can feel myself losing IQ points every minute I remain in a discussion with idiots like you.
