I'm pretty sure Tyson Fury beats GGG, so what. Maybe not. Ward and GGG are not in the same division, GGG isn't mandatory to any belt wards wants. In fact, GGG fighting Ward would be him challenging himself.

GGG v Canelo is a mandatory fight, one Canelo knew he'd be called on to make if he fought for the MW lineal, Ring Mag, and WBC title. It's a natural contest between two MW who walk into the ring about the same weight

No one is asking Canelo to jump up two division to fight a guy who is much heavier, taller and longer.

Canelo will get stripped if it don't happen in September ...simple it's already in writing so I'm not worried about it....want to see the middlweight title become a middleweight title again...and away from the 155 waffle....now really how must canelo feel inside knowing that he s purposely being protected and shielded away from a fighter who deserves his shot at the full title...it's shameful and honestly I really couldn't care less about canelo or Khan and I think personally they will struggle to sell out the arena in May ....people don't buy into mismatches and gimmicks and I cannot see it being a success....golden boy,k2 and the WBC have all signed that it must be agreed within 15 days....so I will watch the framptons&quiggs and the martins&joshuas play out in the meantime.....see what happens I reckon

I feel the same way, at least we know that a guy who will take all challenges in the division, will own every belt that means anything. Won't have to worry about seeing GGG coward out of any defense of his belts. Refreshing actually!

I hate this 'marinating' bs with boxing. "Oh let's wait a couple of years until the time is right." No. Fights have a very limited of time to happen. The landscape changes very quickly. Stars rise and fall like crazy. Both boxers are well known enough. Regardless of sales, the fight would be great right now. Both are in their prime, NOW. This better happen in the fall. No reason why it shouldn't.

You know damn well the WBC is not going to strip Alvarez of its title. It is obvious that De La Hoya is not going to allow the fight to happen in the fall like he promised, but the WBC will find some bull**** excuse to allow Alvarez to keep the title, just like they did with Chavez Jr., Deontay Wilder and a number of other champions. The WBC already reneged on its order that the winner of Cotto/Alvarez must fight Golovkin next. There is no way in hell they are going to strip their new Mexican Golden Boy of the WBC title.
