To a degree he is still hyping his name off GGG goes to show how well Golovkin has done maybe a good hint of jealousy.
If this was true (it isn't), why would team g string insist upon 164? Answer: they knew damn well Ward would be hard pressed to make 168 and 164 would be impossible. They could act like they made an effort to make the fight but not actually have to fight Ward(this is their business model) and the dolts of the boxing world (you and bigdummyshow) ate it up.

Brook v golovkin involves a 36-0 fighter stepping up two weight divisions. This fight has been ridiculed and called a 'freak show', a 'circus fight', a 'mismatch', and golovkin has been heavily criticised for fighting someone who is smaller and been labelled a coward.
However, a lot of posters on this site demand that golovkin fight ward, which would (if he beats brook) mean a 36-0 fighter stepping up two weight classes to fight a light heavyweight.
If that fight did get made, not necessarily next but in the future, would all those members of the forum criticising golovkin for fighting brook, then criticise ward for fighting the smaller man instead, especially when the weight difference between the two would likely be larger than brook compared to golovkin?
Do people think ward would deserve criticism or should he be focusing on fighting light heavyweights instead?
... Let me be very straight on this issue:

... (Team) GGG said would fight Ward since 2013 (if I'm not mistaken) -- as GGG was short of "big fights".
... back in 2015, Ward called out GGG for a 50-50 split fight (next? It wasn't clear enough if "next" or not, because ward eventually said he would need some "tune-ups").
... (Team) GGG (who was expecting a mandatory in Cotto/Canelo winner) said "OK, you want a 50-50 split, then go 50-50 on everything; namely weight (i.e. 164); but if you don't like 164, then go and rebuild your name in some tough fights at 168...
... At that point, Ward moved up at 175 and got a three fight deal with HBO, with a view to fighting Kovalev in 2016.

Ward is too good to be picking on smaller guys. He's insulting his own talent, not to mention legacy.

Ward is good enough to fight bigger guys and good enough to beat them.

Ward Vs Kovalev is not only the money fight but the legacy fight.

An old Bernard Hopkins has more heart than Andre Ward.

Then triple duck and his team said 164 for the fight.

Now ward is fighting kovalev while ggg is fighting his biggest challenge to date, his words not mine, welterweight kell brook.
Not to mention that Unable Sanchez said GGG/Ward is the biggest fight in boxing if Ward beats Kovalev.

                GGG stans stay buggin.

I say he can make 168, even if he has to train differently, eat differently, whatever, he can make 168. That's what I believe.

He's stating that he can't make 168 because now he's comfortable at 175 and wants to preassure for a 172 CW in case of a Golovkin fight. Not too hard to read between lines.

Two weeks before fighting Smith, he twitted that he was weighin 173 and that he was feeling good.

I would love to see Ward fight Golovkin.
This will give me the pleasure to not have to read both camps everyday in here spouting the same s h i t day after day.

If Ward wins, it was a given and the Ward camp would have nothing to say.
If the other guy wins, It was already known because and that is why Ward was "ducking" hence the GGG camp, and then people would shut tfu.

Can we start discussing something new, maybe the ****** queen of England's hairdo?
