Not a fan fact, just a fact.

Spence makes good points, he's one of a few smart, honest guys but so too is Keith Thurman. Aside from the occasional promo Keith is one of the most thoughtful and honest guys in the sport. Keith being injured is unfortunate but like Spence he is an honest guy and deserves benefit of the doubt.

Would I like to see a Keith vs Spence super fight? Absolutely! That said, when Danny Garcia, Porter and Spence fight no hopers then complain that Thurman's 1st time out is an easy touch, it’s ridiculous. Do they really have the high ground? What if Keith fights Rios, Berto or Perterson...then what?

Danny, Porter and Spence need to start fighting each other or at least fight a live dog. Stop complaining and stop waiting on Thurman for a pay day because that’s really what this is about. None of this is about opposition it's about money.

Lets be honest, Danny draws but his opponents are blatantly custom made. Spence doesn't draw and for that reason he has problems getting opponents and Porter is exciting but Berto…Really? Was that outcome ever in doubt?

Danny can promote but his perpetual list of no hopers isn't fooling anyone. Porter and Spence are soooo poorly marketed that they need a promoter, Oscar, Floyd, Arum, Eddie, anyone. Spence should be marketed like Canelo, Oscar or Pac, he should be on a box of wheaties, the breakfast of champions..

If these fighters could generate real interest they become the draw and everyone will need to fight them.

BTW, you may think the sanctioning bodies reward the best that fight the fights but unfortunately that’s simply window dressing for the casual fan. The truth is more insidious, from PED use to belt hostage the only sanctioning body rule is money and greed.

      It's actually not.

Think about it. If Spence beats Porter and Crawford beats Danny how much more will a final showdown with Thurman in late 2018 be worth?

The problem with the WW division is everyone is fighting light touches and calling out Thurman and not fighting one another.

Keith not tryna go home to a beautiful wife with war wounds on his face. the fire has been extinguished.

in that culture he married into is all about meditation and becoming one with the earth. sitting in an open field loving the sounds of bird chirping.

        Keith has found happiness.
Honestly....if that is the case I will miss him and I will take my hat off to him.

Or get a promoter! Oscar did it, Pac did it, Floyd did it, Canelo did it and so has every mega draw in the game.

A few fighters can self promote but Spence isn't one of them.

Very soon Spence will need to move to 154 and 160 but that brings on a new set of problems. Although Spence would be competitive there are no soft touches from 154 - 160lbs

If I'm correct, big if, I suspect Spence will no longer make 147 in 2019.

Spence making a lot of sense here and he's not being disrespectful. Thurman seems like a fighter looking to retire. I remember last year before he even got injured he said after Garcia "Maybe I will fight again this year". That sounded like a guy content with his career and happy with a 1-fight a year schedule.

I think he's trying to hold up time as long as possible and wait for Spence to outgrow the division. I don't think we are going to see Thurman-Spence unfortunately.

Crawford wrapped up the 140lb division and his assent in the 147lb division will be no different. Arum knows that Crawford needs a belt (Horn) , just like Floyd needed the belt from Carlos Baldomir. After that they'll go after a name, possibly Danny Garcia, Amir Khan or Shawn Porter.

In the end, Arum's intention is to methodically build Crawford up to a mega fight with either Spence or Thurman.

Could he lose to Horn? As Adrian Broner would say, anything is possible.

                  That's the back room chatter.

This is true. Thurmans fire is tamed now. The greatest of warriors are playboys/womanizers. Marriage kills your inner savage.

The WBC stripped Ward of his title years ago, because he suffered an injury. They stripped him seven months after he last defended it.

The same WBC is literally letting Thurman RETIRE for a year and a half and keep his belts during his retirement. It is a disgrace.

I know Thurman got hitched, maybe wifey made him get fixed. I don't know what else it could be.
