They adore Canelo, but close their eyes to the fact that Canelo, being in his prime, has never convincingly beat past his prime GGG. Ok so you're an Andrade fan. I mean he has had his own issues with his career, but I like Andrade and he is going to get his chances coming up. He should have fought Saunders but that one fell through. In the next few years at DAZN he is going to have to fight the other 3 top guys at DAZN. Just be patient.

It's not really about tune ups, it's about being smart. If Canelo is next, that's a bigger legacy and money fight for GGG. No way DAZN lets a big fight happen before that one. But also no way DAZN doesn't force GGG into several big fights if he has a 6 fight contract with them.

So all of that will work itself out. I just don't think GGG should take business advice from the people who hate on him, they just want to see him lose and make no money, and obviously he is trying to do the opposite.

Btw - if you like Andrade he will have an opportunity to prove himself in the next few years. He will probably have an opportunity to fight Jacobs Canelo and GGG if he handles his business. And if he beats all 3 of them who can hate on him then. GGG would be old but not all 3 of them.

Honestly I would have too. But considering everything, with a big money/legacy Canelo fight at risk in September, the smart move was to take on Vanes as a late replacement and keep the Cinco de Mayo date. No way Dervy and his team would have negotiated everything to keep that date on short notice.

And again if GGG smashed Dervy then people would just say 'he ******, GGG really didn't want to face (insert name here)'.

The good news is that if GGG has 6 fights with DAZN then everyone will get their wish - he will probably have at least 4 of those fights with Canelo, Jacobs and Andrade. How could anyone hate on that
