That's nonsense. He chose a stay busy fight before the Canelo fight. HBO only wanted to offer 1 million for the card. Sergei D wouldn't accept 250k for the Demetrious Andrade fight after initially accepting it for 400k. He was not going to take less than 400k for a bigger fight where he was the mandatory and thus not obligated to. He was all about that cash too.

The dumbarse pushed the issue and then lost the belt to a guy who lost to GGG and he did it for less money than he would have earned if he just waited his turn. Back to fighting unknowns he goes.

I literally broke down specific instances of your hypocritical bs when you changed your stance based on gggs pssy ways. You literally claim to not be a ggg fan yet you change your stance when he constantly does exactly a million times worse than what u cried about canelo doing such as him now planning on facing a bum & hoping 4 another payday without working 4 it,&without defending his mandatory obligations as hes always claimed to care so much about.
not quite. You're just an idiot who lacks basic reading comprehension skills. I'm not for cherry picks by anyone as a boxing fan but obviously they happen. But there's a difference between taking a cherry pick fight after a loss and taking a cherry pick fight and telling everyone you're doing it to make history and are chasing greatness. A cherry pick is a cherry pick and Canelo has had 4 cherry picks in his last 6 fights not including the Jacob's fight coming up.

Nobody is worse than pac fans, Canelo fans are a close second though.

Yep, real boxing fans hold fighters accountable for their choices. Canelo should be held accountable for his cherry picks, fake title wins, ped use etc. And ggg should be held accountable for not fighting ward or Lara when they called him out during the same time frame that everyone else was avoiding him. But. You canelo fans defend him regardless of what he does. That's what makes you fan girls instead of real boxing fans. If any other boxer did what Canelo did as the "face of boxing" with the fights he has post cotto, the dropping of the belt when ggg became his mandatory and the ped use, yall would s*** on them. But in your case, because he's Mexican, you let it rock and defend it.

he should fight him or charlo. Not too many other fights make sense unless he's guaranteed the winner of Canelo VS Jacobs.

I'm not going to bother reading the comments on here I can only imagine the tripe the haters are spewing. The only thing that matters right now is that us fans are going to get some real big fights this year and it starts with Canelo vs Jacobs. I say sit back and enjoy don't try pretend you know everything about boxing or the business sit back and enjoy, I hope to see GGG get some good work this year.

The same Dazn that gave triple jab a contract also believes canelo is a star... Lol but I guess you right

The issue is the criteria for measuring greatness used by many. For many in the boxing community, greatness is not a measure of skill and ability displayed; rather it is how difficult the challenge you face. And since the greatest challenge one can face (too many fans) is moving up in weight then thats the criteria that gets bandied about the most. Personally, I'd rather see a fighter stay at whatever weight they feel they are best at than move into a position where they are not at their best just to say they jumped weight. But I guess its up to each to decide their own criteria.
Good comments. I personally feel the second fight scoring was similar to the first, but I agree it was a more competitive fight than the first. I was trying to say that over the course of the 2 fights GGG was pretty clearly the better man, if they were going to be graded that way.

I think a lot of people who don't like GGG just want to see him take on crazy challenges and make no money. He was willing to move up to fight Froch or Chavez and would play the role of the B side in those negotiations. With Ward, Ward wanted to be the A side and he wasn't, he was the B side. I just don't think GGG needed to give up any and all leverage in his career, just to make no money and even if he was successful in winning those fights, the people who don't like him now would still give him very little to no credit.

I think he did it the right way. He got a little lucky with finally getting the Canelo fight, and he looks like he will get 3 of them. But I think staying at MW was the right move. The times he tried to move up or down, when he was the B side, the fights just never materialized.

Lol oh well yeah he is the best MW ever actually too. Fighters tend to get better over time. No real blemishes on his real record unlike a Hagler for example. Only guys at MW I think would really give him a real run are RJJ at MW and McClelland but RJJ was never really at MW much so hard to say about him.
