Brook was doing well and most had him winning the fight before this happened in the 8th round.



Go watch round 8. Brook get's headbutted in the first minute and his eye starts to swell throughout the round. Spence got lucky.

Same thing happened to Matthysse in the Postol fight.

What difference would finishing the fight have made? You're obviously a little slow. Take your time.

Brook was working him over up until that point. Spence is mostly a manufactured star. He has skills but he fights smaller opponents and usually they are faded, way past their primes. Look at his opponent list, the best name is a guy that GGG destroyed and the second best name is a guy that Pac dropped 6 times 2 years before Spence fought him.

I think Spence will have a harder time than he expects against lil Garcia. I can see it going to a decision and Spence having to rely on bought off judges to eek out a win, then coming up with an injury excuse post-fight.

Here in the real world it was simply a clash of heads that unfortunately ruined a great fight.

If Garcia moves up two weight classes and beats Spence it would be a great accomplishment. Truly one for the ages - a Featherweight moving up to Welterweight and winning the title? I give the guy massive credit for taking the fight and think he has a reasonable chance. Personally, I think Spence is simply too big for him and I would have liked a Garcia/Loma fight more. But he's got major stones for taking on this fight and I'd like to see Garcia pull it off. It'd be good for the sport, generate excitement at the lower weight classes and then perhaps we'd get a Brook / Spence rematch too (which I don't see happening if Spence wins).
