I can�t believe I�m gonna criticise him but Kante needs to smarten up. Today he was in full �see football, chase football?mode. The lack of shape came from his decisions. Jorginho is slow it doesn�t matter if he holds his position because he�ll get caught out against a fast counter. It�s not his fault.

Mason Mount should start really. He�s gone off form a little but Chelsea miss his discipline. Seems an odd thing to say but he presses in a more intelligent way than Kante has been doing recently

I cant be over critical of the players.

Kante is a terrier. Will always be one. He's shortcomings show up more because he's playing more forward instead of side-to-side.

Jorginho is what he is. A tidy metronome with no athleticism.

Mount has room to grow but he's essentially Dele Alli currently.

I cant be too critical. They are what they are. Many young. A few are veteran specialists of the game out of position or in roles that dont fit the overall team.

I really want to punch the referee through my screen when he gave Kante the yellow card for a perfect tackle. I'm not a fan of Kante being a box to box player. He is a decent player there but why make him decent when he is the best in the world as a defensive midfielder. I know its to accommodate Jorginho hence why i'm not a fan of him. People call him commanding but he's just bossy to me. You don't tell the best defensive midfielder and a world cup winner what to do. That said he does take slick spot kicks though.

Kovacic on the other hand is really improving. There's a video on youtube which shows a compilation of him dribbling like Hazard. Lampard really have been encouraging him to **** in some goals. Mount is decent too. Got to compliment his hard work at pressing. It's going to be interesting when RLC comes back from injury.

Frank should've replaced Abraham with Giroud.

Kovacic has been our player of the year other than Tammy I think.

Frank can still improve his finishing. He has great technique. There is no reason why he shouldn’t be scoring 5-10 league goals a season.

Not being over critical when it comes to the Kante. He is our best player. Sometimes he needs to read the situation of the game better. I thought he was a bit ******ed yesterday. Last 15 minutes was like a basketball game. If he just sits in there and holds Jorginho’s hand I don’t think we have a problem. Kante knows what’s up. I don’t know what he was doing really. His worst performance in a Chelsea shirt or probably any shirt second half.

Weird game. We actually could have battered them and they could have battered us.

Chelsea had no shape. It’s games like that that defo make you think they’re over achieving.

All the best teams empty the midfield but there’s something slightly up with us when we do it. We seem to get punished. The obvious tweak would be to swap Kante and Jorginho.

There’s not really anyone good Chelsea could beat playing like that.

We’ll see when Rudiger, Zouma, and James play regularly together how good we are I think.

Need to write a blank cheque for a left back in the summer

I think if RLC comes back fit and firing the system might tweak. Willian is doing well for him but he’s still not a particularly good player

I kinda hate that Jorginho is a necessity due to Frank's desire to play out from the back.

I understand it. Keep possession, be in control of the game. By extension, your destiny.

By default, Jorginho is a necessity being the only player that can be an outlet to the back 4 and rotate the ball efficiently.

However. Don't need it. This team is crying to be played as a direct 442 and 4231.

With Mount. Play the 4231 as Frank has been. Mount being the focal point.

When Mount is rested, play 2 strikers and let Kovacic drive from deep. Essentially playing through Kovacic. While Kante screens the back 4 in his best position, like at Leicester.

Kepa is not world class. Imo major weak link for you guys.

Kepa is not that bad. I mean he's not the best but he was purchased for his ball distribution. Not for his shot stopping ability (thank you Sarri).

It's ironic though because when you look closer at his distribution at Bilbao, his ball distribution was through the air... not on the ground.

The times I’ve seen Chelsea play I’ve felt Jorghino has been one of the better players. Dude has definitely benefited the most from lampard. He and kovatic

True, he's not been bad this season within proper context.

I can't really describe it.

I guess I wonder if his role/presence in combination with Lampard's desire to play from the back. Is disconnected from the instructions and play of the attacking unit.
