Ole just sets Man United out to counter attack. He's found a decent formula but he hasn't seen enough Sevilla to really put anything together to beat them.

Ole really had it stacked against United when he sets out to counter attack, a counter attacking club, in their tournament.

It's like counter attacking Atletico Madrid. It's kind of dumb. Even Chelsea has been blasted by Atletico, trying to out counter their counter.

I was saying midway through that game that I expect a title challenge.

By the end of it I was slamming Solskjaer because he wasnt good enough.

The truth probably is is that he doesn't rate a lot of his squad.

Someone like Ighalo should have had a good 15 minutes to see if something would fall to him. Not 3 minutes.

Yeah I'd rather see a one match in a neutral venue than 2 legs with away goals possibly being the difference

Its just more of a sporting spectacle to have it straight knock out.

Could you imagine having world cup quarter finals and semis over 2 legs? It's just watering it down.

Like you said being a one off game dramatically changes how the contest plays out.. honestly I have never been a fan of away goals tho

This format really favors PSG because this is usually where they fall apart. Go up 3-0 in first leg, lose 5-3 on aggregate from the second leg.

Its Europa at least for Lukaku and Sanchez (can't remember were Young ended up).. idk even with United not being that successful of late the competition is just not very prestigious imo.. better then nothing I guess.. Just feels like everything outside the Champions league and PL has been completely devalued over the years

Away goals at the very least should be scrapped. I've never understood why an away goal should count more and specifically why 0-0 at home should ever be a decent result when scoring is the point of the game.

In a league format I dont even think you should get a point for a nil nil. Sure, one team might have defended well and the other may have been unlucky but they both have literally missed the point.

Tbh, the whole game needs weighting to the attackers and not VAR drawing random lines so they can rule out a goal. Probably one that showed a prodigious amount of skill but was rules out because the players d.ick was offside.
