Thanks for your input, I do feel much better after reading some of the posts on this thread and reading statistical data associated with air travel. Although I might still feel very anxious the day of the flight, at least I know that the stats are on my side.

I took the trip this past Thursday and although it was great experience for the most part, the turbulence on the way back was quite terrifying! Below is an aerial view of the Santa Rosa mountains right above Palm Springs.

Good to see you went anyway, I'm always glad I didn't opt out after the flight is over. Doesn't look like too many on board. Was the turbulence bad or just a little rocky?

It was just te GM and myself onboard. It was smooth riding on the way to our destination (as you can appreciate in the video) but quite a different story on the way back. As a matter of fact, right over the mountains depicted on te video the turbulence was quite intense....VERY intense actually, for a good 5 minutes too. I wantd to record it but my cell battery was dead.
