hes obvously trolling talking about how it was smart because wilder and fury 2 will do 2 million ppv buys which they won't but even if they did that still doesn't get wilder 100 million floyd made 80 mill when he was the a-side against canelo and did 2 million. fury/wilder wold prob be 50-50 meaning each guy would get 50 mill or so if they did 2 million which they wont. so best case scenario about 50 million plus 2 other lame fights against breazele and some other tomato can which i doubt he gets more than 10 for. yep still a lot less. arum just doesnt want dazn to take over so thankfully wilder was ****** and now his best option is a fury fight

I agree with Mr Bob Arum. Wilder should stay with Haymon. Let's see him rematch Luis Ortiz.

I never said Loma and Bud were Mayweather type stars I said Arum has done a better job promoting his fighters than Haymon has promoted his own fighters. And I do not see Arum, Loma, or Bud having delusional expectations like all of Haymon's stable. All of Haymon's top fighters think they are the next Mayweather as that is the excuse they use when turning down huge money from other promotions.

That should ring some bells in the heads of Haymon fighters when he tells each of them privately, "yeah you are the next Mayweather". Arum's fighters are realistic and Haymon's fighters are delusional. Mikey is a perfect example he had it very good with Arum, making good money being lined up to fight Paq and if he won he would become a star. But that was not good enough he left he is now in bed with Showtime and Haymon to some extent and now look at his career (after that disaster last Saturday).

Understand what's happening here. It's not really about Wilder or Joshua, it's nothing about cowardice from either man, it's about a fight between alternative models of how to deliver boxing to US fight fans and this fight, as the biggest that can be made right now, is simply the battleground where these networks have chosen to fight.

US fight fans who are celebrating Wilder refusing this offer should look at how these decisions affect their own pockets. Compare the amount they would've had to pay for two PPV fights on Showtime PPV, say $180 for two months of DAZN subscription, $40 under the new plan, or $99 if they want all of DAZN's programming for the next year.

Wilder's team are backing the old way. They've turned down an offer that was above what the market would likely deliver in the hope they'll get more eventually and maybe they will or maybe they won't. What is clear is that the only place this additional revenue is coming from is the pockets of US boxing fans.
👏👏👏👍Anyone who can't see this blind, deaf and dumb.

PPV is simply on its last leg and the idea that the fight can make more money is based on a out moded model that will continue losing ground as more and more people adopt the streaming model of consuming entertainment. Blockbuster Video vs Netflix. Lol.

the same people moaned like girls when Arum and Pac said no to a flat 50 mill offer from Floyd, now they praise Arum for the same logic. Haymon fanboys have got to be the worst fans ever. Wilder ain't Pac tho and has never shown to generate mass appeal, so for Wilder, that wasn't a slap in the face kind of offer. But either way, we'll know in due time if Wilder was right. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other, I just can't help but find the irony comical.

The sad thing is, some dumb “Boxing” fans would actually approve of this article. Just because it suits their narratives.
