Man I remember during the group stage Liverpool were widely considered the weakest link out of the English teams and here we are in the final.

Real Madrid are worrying to come up against though, always seem to get the job done in the crucial moments. 4 CL finals in 5 years is insane, they have a special group of players.

I think Liverpool have a good chance against Real Madrid imo.

There are some weak links there. Marcelo defensively is actually abysmal, their keeper is also a bit shaky and also pretty tiny, Kross and Modric whilst good players are bad athletes and susceptible to being run at. Oxlade Chambo would have been a problem for them.

It will be a good final imo. Liverpool need to catch them cold.

Also agree with you lot are saying, Lovren is an obvious issue though. Worst player since Djimi Traore to play in a Champions League Final. Karius also a bum. Trent is very young the whole thing could unravel for him pretty quick.

It's one of them, If he has a bad first touch. Take him off, lol.

But how much defending have Real Madrid done? They haven't done it very well. Liverpool whilst they run out of gas just make teams defend so much. Proper defending as in dealing with runners or simply just sheer number of people around the box. Watch United and Chelsea and the amount of people they get ahead of the ball vs Liverpool and Man City. Makes me think that United could win a title if they were bolder. Chelsea have to be careful to be fair because they have 1 midfielder.

Obviously if Liverpool try and change and low block and counter they'll just get beaten easily 2-0 or something. But if they play like they can they can win or they can get smashed 5-2. They've got to be like a boxer who has to go all in and try and find his opponents chin early doors.

He's done nothing special at City either.. Conte won the league in his first season with a far weaker side..

What has pep done in Europe except get bodied by Liverpool of all teams
You've changed tone since the start of the season when you were saying you'd give him full credit if he managed to win the league playing his style, which was deemed virtually impossible to do by most in here.

1 title and almost 100 (one hundred) points later and the goalposts have moved. Surprise.

That aside, Bayern were clearly hindered by Pep managing them.

Jupp is a counter attacking extraordinaire. Hes not going to instruct his CBs to hold the ball with 3 minutes to go.

I lost count of how many counter attacks were killed off by Thiago trying to play barca ball with the CBs.

Cant imagine the same manager who got Bayern the treble playing counter attacking football is going to tell his CBs and Midfielders to pass backwards rather than forward.
So his professional squad of 25 players have deliberately ignored treble-winning manager Jupp Heynckes' tactical instructions in favour of following Pep's (who left 2 years ago and has been direct with City at times) tactical instructions from memory? That's genuinely what you think an experienced team of world class footballers did?

That's some impact Pep has embedded on that club if that's the case. Mindblowing even.

Can't wait for City continue to rack up record points totals every year from memory after Pep leaves.

Wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool won the final. Real Madrid aren't that good.

Salah will get loads of space with Marcelo bombing on.

              3-2'ish either way.

Pep did well to win 2 league titles this season.

I give Pep full credit. I still don’t enjoy that style of playing albeit I’d say City are better to watch than his all conquering Football by numbers Barca. Those ****s wouldn’t even take a corner or a shot from range or take a throw in forward, or take a defender on the outside and swing a cross in. Took all the fun out of the f.ucking thing

pep full credit? not the tiny issue of having endless arab money to spend disgusting amounts of money on any player they wanted?

No mate, you're mistaken. Pep got Bayern kicked out of the CL with his tiki-taka bollocks. Damn him and his subliminal tactical aftertaste.
