Barcelona have incredible league season. They played 20 games and got 53 points. They can lose two more games and would still have more than 100 points. Also, they conceded only 7 goals. They overcame absence of GOAT by getting humiliated one season by Real in La Liga and playing in the Europa League for two seasons. Xaviball is on fire. Only another genius can make up absence of a genius.

After Real got 100 points in 2011/12, Barca got the same in 2012/13. Seems like the fate will get repeated.

It's nice to see Barcelona dominating La Liga again. Xavi has turned the club around. Real Madrid look washed most nights, they don't have the young talent that Barca has.

Buying Lewandowski instantly put them back in the title winner category.

Insane how Barca do that, no brainer, then City buy Haaland to only regress...

and Chelsea buy [insert striker name here] to make them wingers or give them half a season of starts.

        side note:

word on the street is Luis Enrique is looking to get back into club football.

Could be a chance for Chelsea if GP doesn't sort himself out quickly. He's got more than Moyes got at Man United and is fumbling it badly.

I have no ill will towards Man City but I do want them to get sent down the divisions just for the drama lol

Imagine the feeding frenzy it would create around their players. You'd love to see it.

I don't mind City at all. But I do think they are nefarious.

            I do not like Pep.

He is a sanctimonious, passive-aggressive prick.

So there is that about City. For whatever reason, unlike Chelsea they have not been consistently pushed on issues like this by the English media.

Hence why Pep even last week was scoofing at Chelsea's spending and talking about City's net profit in the last window only last Friday

            Is the man serious?

I think City have 'friendly' journalists that are paid for. Tin foil hat I suppose but that Der Speigel expose was near on 5 years ago.

Are people like Pep and City themselves supposed to be surprised? Is Pep pretending to be shocked?

There is an element of bulls.hit about them.

Lying about income is low rent man.

If Chelsea did that I'd want us dragged through the shi.t.....again.

But what makes me laugh is the mentions of Chelsea today in regards to the City thing. Danny Mills said we should be investigated for when Roman came 20 years ago in the first time for breaking ffp.

            1. Ffp didn't exist for another 6 years, mate.

            2. City aren't getting investigated for FFP breaches.

I am interested in any journo or pundit who drops Chelsea into every convo about City. For me they are outing themselves as shills.

The whole thing is banter. If City get punished do you think fingers won't be being pointed everywhere? Especially in the sketchy covid times.

The thing with city not being given hard questions, it just tells me sport washing actually works. Its not just about the human right violations of the owners but about any line of questioning that isn't sport related. i.e money or anything to do with ownership

Look at how much love Newcastle are getting right now, when only a few months ago they were seen as a problem for the premier league and even the government. Now its "aw bless em they deserve it"

Qatar showed us how easily English journos are bought. You don't even need to outright pay them to print a fluff piece. Just put them up in plush hotels and make them think they are wining and dining with the best and they are golden. They'll be singing your virtues.

Oh I mean It could just be an anti Chelsea thing too though lol

You have to admit Chelsea are used as a political football (literally there is no doubt about it) as well as a punch bag for journalists trying to reveal a moral compass but only in an echo chamber. At this point it isn't really a concern. Abramovich never gave a sh.it. Had tomes published about him whilst he himself said...........f.uck all.

The new owners must realise that antipathy has spread to them. Aint nobody said one nice thing about Todd Boehly - man gets hatcheted in the media every day.

I am not whinging about this. You'll be hard pressed to find Chelsea fans who want credit from anyone for anything. Boiled piss and tears does us - it usually means we are winning.

                Not currently I accept.

But as you have alluded to. You have cameras in Newcastle's dressing room after a cup win?

You have almost universal reverence for Pep's style.

It is weird. And as you say it is sportswashing.

I am interested in how the press tackles it because they have been quiet for years.

Are they gonna pretent to be indignant now?

What is banter though is Chelsea employed some chap from City in the summer to be our 'head of business'.

You know in charge of landing sponsors.

Chelsea need a new shirt sponsor. Two new shirt sponsors actually.

                  He has landed.............f.uck all.

no wonder. C.unt has never had to do it before

Tell you the truth I don't read much footy media anymore so I wouldn't really know. I know there were a lot of anti chelsea pieces written at the start of Romans reign but you have to admit the way you operated back then was aggressive af, and im pretty sure you got away with a lot of dodgy stuff as there was less scrutiny then, so you kinda provoked a bad mood around the club by rival fans and the media alike.

Ah no actually I do recall a lot of sanctimony after the Covid thing too but those were weird times, and i guess the cost of having an Oligarch as an owner.
